Re: Jamie Tsai - A Professional Real Estate Agent and True Friend Who Cares
I have just started my academic career as an assistant professor at UCLA about three months ago. At that moment, my family and I thought it was about time for us to own a home which is near by the campus. With this idea in mind, we then started to look for our dream home. However, we felt extremely frustrated at first place since a lot of difficulties and realities struck us immediately and there seems no good solution available. With limited budget in hand and relatively short credit history (I have just been in US for about 4 years), it was almost impossible for us to meet the financial criteria set up for an ideal home in our mind. In fact, we spoke to a broker who decided to keep silent after our first conversation.
Jamie jumped into the scene when we were about to give up our home buying plan. My impression on Jamie is that he is very optimistic and extremely resourceful. During our first discussion he has begun to work on my case by turning on his supporting network which is a joint force consisted of finance experts, legal experts, construction experts and so on3; He was asking Julie Wang, a very capable financial consultant to take care of our loan issue. Surprisingly, Julie got back to me with banks pre-approval in the second day. Eventually, it turned out to be an excellent deal (17 % down payment with APR of 4.75) which is much better than we would have expected. After receiving banks promise, Jamie started to work with my family and me closely. He pre-selected several homes for sale, walked us through, and analyzed each one for us from different aspects. Up to this point, it is important to note that Jamie hold PhD degree in civil engineering. Therefore, he was able to advice us with very extensive knowledge which not only covers the general senses in real estate market, but also covers construction quality evaluation. In addition, Jamie also provided us very insightful information about the neighborhood since he has been a West Los Angeles resident for more than 20 years. Together with his great patience and high level of ethics, Jamie has distinguished himself as an extremely professional and successful real estate agent from the others and became a true friend of my family.
In very short period (about two weeks), we found a condo which we liked. Jamie helped us put together the offer, oversaw the negotiation on our behalves, and finally carried onto the escrow process. Again, there are many new challenges emerging during the escrow. We had to deal with many trivial but critical problems with the seller, home owner association and the bank. Fortunately, we had Jamie always standing on our side and fighting for our benefits. With the valuable experience and extensive knowledge, Jamie always solved problems with greatest ease. Finally, we were able to move into our new home in less than 60 days since the very beginning. I often heard that people complain their house-buying experiences are nightmare after they went through all the processes. That is very remarkable that Jamie left us a very enjoyable experience when we are sitting in our very nice living room and recalling the past.
As a new comer to this dream land (the US), it was our privilege to receive Jamies service when we were buying our first home. Meanwhile, the fact I feel even more grateful is that Jamie has become a good friend of our family. He is always around, and always willing to help, advice and share his experiences with us. Here, we want to let other people know about our experience with Jamie and are willing to provide any reference to who may interested in choosing Jamies service in the future.
