Dear Jamie,

Yiming and I just wanted to write to thank you again for all of your help recently. Moving to California from Boston, having our first son, joining a new practice for me and starting as new medical faculty for Yiming was stressful enough, but finding a new home on top of everything else could really have been a nightmare. Luckily, your help, guidance, and patience really made it a great experience.

Right from the beginning, you were very responsive to what our needs were. We had just finished working in Boston (Yiming at Massachusetts General Hospital, and I at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary), where we completed training, and served as medical staff and instructors at Harvard Medical School. Since we initially rented a house here in California, you knew we had some time to look around slowly, and you let us get to know the different areas, and learn about the schools for our new son. Right from the beginning, your patience, and advice about where and what to look for when looking at both older homes, as well as new developments and new constructions was extremely helpful and right on target.

When we found some homes which we liked, you helped us put together offers and negotiate in a manner that again matched what we needed. You let us decide how aggressive to be in negotiating, and let us tell you how willing we were to walk away from bad counter-offers. Because of this, we were able to close on the absolute perfect house, at a price and offer that was much better than we would have expected. We were certainly happy that you were on our side during negotiating! You were able to get everything we wanted, but at the same time always kept the highest levels of ethics and decency ? an important point since we will be establishing practices in our new area, and certainly wanted to deal with others honestly.

Throughout the escrow process you were constantly available. You even helped smooth out other aspects of the deal which didnt directly deal with the offer, from making sure we had a good deal on the mortgage, to arranging for all the things we didnt think about like homeowners insurance, meeting escrow deadlines, etc. Even after closing, you followed up to make sure everything was going well, and tied up all the little loose ends. We could not have asked for anything more.

Yiming and I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of different people as doctors - from patients, to staff, to teaching medical students, interns and residents. We are always happy to find people we can work with who are honest, dedicated and extremely capable. You certainly fulfilled these qualities to the fullest. You were the proverbial lighthouse - always ready to help, guide, advise, and steer us away from trouble. I hope you will let other people know about our experience with you, and please feel free to use us as references any time.
