Jamie came to the U.S. from Taiwan, Republic of China in 1979 to attend the UCLA School of Engineering. He earned a Master of Science in Engineering in 1982 and Ph.D in Civil Engineering in March 1985. He got his Real Estate Broker License in November of 1987.
As an engineer, Jamie has worked in the Construction Management team for Los Angeles Metro Rail Project, for Culver City as an Associate Civil Engineer, and as Managing Director for Space Management International before turning his practice in real estate in 1988.
Jamie earned a Certificate in Real Estate Marketing from UCLA Business and Management School. He is a member of National Association of Realtors (NAR), Californian NAR and Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors.
Jamie is a Principal Broker with SMI Realty which is an independent real estate brokerage, marketing and management firm since 1991. He is also an investor and/or developer so he can share his experiences on fixer-uppers, probate, trust sale and other multi-family investments. Jamie was a Board member in Friends of Overland (FOO)-a booster club designed to raise funds to benefit the children of Overland Avenue Elementary School in Cheviot Hills. Jamie now is a board member of Home Owner Association (HOA) in Luma, a 236-unit newly constructed state-of-the-art condo-loft in South Park neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles near Staple Center and L.A. Live.
Jamie practices Zen meditation and Chi-Gong. In his free time he enjoys pilates, photography, snow skiing, table tennis, and swimming. |
